SIGNS OF JEWISH EVERYDAY LIFE / TRAVELLING EXHIBITION

Jews in Germany are mainly perceived in a historical context. This exhibition allows insights into the everyday life of Jews in Germany today. Icons combined with short, trenchant texts deal with cultural, legal, religious, social and emotional aspects.

They show the normality as well as smaller and larger differences and ambivalences. Some of the raised issues are: Do German Jews have to attend national service? How religiously do they live? How is contemporary German Jewish identity defined?

My part was the graphic design and co-development of the concept.

The icons and bilingual explanations were mounted on lightboxes
